1. Rental Requirements
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Valid driving license (international license recommended for non-Georgian licenses)
- Valid passport or national ID
- No security deposit: no cash deposit, card charge, or card preauthorization hold
2. Insurance
Full insurance is included in the rental price with no insurance deductible. Third-party liability cover is limited to 30,000 GEL. Single-vehicle accidents are covered.
Insurance does not apply when the renter drives in the wrong lane, runs a red light, exceeds the speed limit, or fails to inform Geolander of the location of an incident.
3. Fuel Policy
Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling charge will apply.
4. Mileage
All rentals include unlimited mileage within Georgia.
5. Cancellation Policy
A prepayment equal to 10% of the total rental price is required to confirm a booking. This booking prepayment is separate from a security deposit; Geolander does not take a security deposit.
- Cancellation at least 30 days before the rental starts: 50% of the booking prepayment is refunded
- Cancellation with fewer than 30 days remaining before the rental starts: the booking prepayment is non-refundable
6. Cross-Border Travel
Travel to Armenia is allowed. Contact Geolander before departure to confirm the documents and cross-border insurance required for your dates. No permission for any other country is stated on this page.
7. Vehicle Return
- Vehicles must be returned to the agreed location at the agreed time
- Late returns may incur additional charges
- The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received
8. Prohibited Uses
All Geolander vehicles may use planned routes and insurance continues, except when bad weather, road closures, or a damaged road make the route unavailable or unsafe.
- Driving on a route affected by bad weather, an official road closure, or road damage
- Driving in the wrong lane, running a red light, or speeding
- Failing to inform Geolander of the location of an incident
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Sub-renting or lending the vehicle to unauthorized drivers
- Participation in races or speed tests
9. Liability
The renter remains responsible for traffic violations, parking fines, toll charges, and losses caused by an excluded use listed above. There is no security deposit and no insurance deductible.
