What is Geolander?

Geolander is a local car rental company based in the heart of Tbilisi, in Mtatsminda at 8/5 Vedzini Street. It rents exact, individually photographed vehicles and offers free Tbilisi Airport delivery, included insurance, and direct WhatsApp support.

Do I need to leave a security deposit?

No. Geolander requires no security deposit, cash deposit, card charge, or card preauthorization hold. The 10% booking prepayment is separate from a security deposit.

What documents do I need to rent a car?

You need a valid driving license, with an international driving permit recommended for non-Georgian licenses, plus a valid passport or national identity document.

What insurance is included?

Full insurance is included with no insurance deductible. Third-party liability is limited to 30,000 GEL, and single-vehicle accidents are covered. Cover does not apply to wrong-lane driving, running a red light, speeding, or failing to tell Geolander where an incident occurred.

Can I pick up the car at Tbilisi Airport?

Yes. Geolander offers free delivery at Tbilisi International Airport (TBS). Contact Geolander to arrange delivery for your booking.

Do I need a 4×4 to drive in Georgia?

Not for every trip. Cities and many main highways are suitable for ordinary cars in normal conditions. Vehicle choice should follow the exact road surface, weather, closure status, road damage, and any unpaved mountain section in your itinerary.

Can I drive a Geolander car on mountain routes?

Yes. Geolander permits all its vehicles on planned routes with insurance, unless bad weather, an official road closure, or road damage makes the route unavailable or unsafe.

Are winter tyres included?

Yes. Winter tyres are provided free of charge.

Can I drive a Geolander rental to Armenia?

Yes, travel to Armenia is allowed. Contact Geolander before departure to confirm the required documents and cross-border insurance for your trip.

What is the fuel policy?

Vehicles are supplied with a full tank and should be returned with a full tank. A refuelling charge applies when a vehicle is returned with less fuel.

How do I book a car?

Browse the exact vehicles, choose your dates, and send the prepared booking request through WhatsApp. Geolander then confirms availability directly.

What is the cancellation policy?

A 10% prepayment is required to confirm a booking. If you cancel at least 30 days before the rental starts, 50% of that prepayment is refunded. With fewer than 30 days remaining before the rental starts, the prepayment is non-refundable.
